To start making your own beer you will need the following things:
A Fermenter with about a 2.5 gal capacity
1 can of your favorite beer mix
A single serving booster pouch
6 bottles (these can be plastic or glass)

This would be what you would get in a typical starter kit but if you are wanting to make beer on a larger scale then you will want to get one of the more advanced kits with all of the beer making equipment you will need.
